Purnima, the day of the Full Moon, is regarded as highly auspicious and sacred in many belief systems. It is believed that during Purnima, the positive energy is magnified, and the moon’s radiance brings blessings and abundance. In Hinduism, Purnima is associated with various festivals and rituals, such as Guru Purnima and Raksha Bandhan, which celebrate knowledge, spirituality, and the bond of love and protection. Additionally, Purnima holds cultural significance in different communities worldwide, symbolizing the completion of a lunar cycle and the start of a new one.

Monthly Food Donation Program on Purnima

Every month in 2023, on the specified Purnima dates, Uday Foundation organizes a food donation program, ensuring that those in need have access to nutritious meals. By offering sustenance to the hungry and underprivileged, Uday Foundation spreads hope, care, and solidarity, empowering individuals and families to thrive.

• Donations to Uday Foundation are exempt from 50% tax under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

• Uday Foundation is not registered with FCRA and we cannot accept foreign donations. We can accept donations from Non-Resident Indian only through any bank account operational in India. Contributions made by a citizen of India, living in another country, from his personal savings, through the normal banking channels, are not treated as foreign contributions. However, while accepting any donations from such NRI, it is mandatory to obtain his passport details to ascertain that he/she is an Indian passport holder.
